Luzerne County prison inmate goes to hospital after fight
An inmate at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility was transferred to the hospital after a fight in the prison, County Manager Romilda Crocamo said Tuesday. Detectives are investigating, Crocamo added. Luzerne County District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce did not return a message seeking comment.

Prisoner of addiction: Luzerne County inmate suffers through recovery without methadone
Michael J. Keefe took methadone for nearly six months prior to his detention at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility (LCCF) in mid-May. The thirty-seven-year-old had tried other addiction management medications in the past. FDA-approved methadone was “the only thing that worked” to relieve his cravings and get him off the synthetic opioid street supply, he said.

(WOLF) — A Pennsylvania prison mistakenly released an inmate pretending to be his brother, authorities said. Billy Partington, 30, had been serving a sentence of 72 days to one year for drug possession at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility when he was "inadvertently" brought down to the booking area, according to the affidavit.
